In order for you to actively and consciously take your weight loss journey serious (probably after trying some shortcuts or even doing it in some certain kind of ways) here are some tips to help you especially when you’ve decided to lose some weight but don’t know how to go about it, they would both mentally and physically get you started.

admitting that you have some body and health changes to do is the first step to a journey of recovery from weight woes. This mentally prepares you and energizes you to become more physically ready to do what it takes. - Get a Scale, measuring tape and complete workout attire which includes trainers…!
These are essential tools for you to keep track of your journey and get you exercise ready. -
Weigh yourself with a Scale and take your body measurements with a tape. Keep the record in your journal…!
This is done in order to track your progress intermittently to know what areas needs more work. -
Take “Before Pictures”..!
Your scale, tape, old pictures and even old clothes are good ways to track your progress… Keep them handy for some morale boosts. -
Clean out all junks from your fridge and stock up on healthy foods..!
If you keep healthy foods at home you’d eat healthy foods… stock up with some healthy options and let go of junks. - Create a weekly meal plan; plan your snacks as well
A good nutritionist could help you with this and of course with a doctor’s consent. Once you have an organized meal plan, your weight loss journey is half solved. -
Draw up a workout plan and follow it conscientiously…!
This should be done in a progressive way in order not to over work or under work the body. It also makes you have a planned body routine making achieving your goal easier day by day. - Find a workout partner or a support group for motivation and mutual encouragement..!Two heads has often been said to be better than one. Sometimes the journey might become too tough or seem impossible for you, but when you have a good supportive system you would definitely pull through the difficulties.

This may help you get re-motivated especially when a significant weight was lost. It also tells you how harder you should push. However do not only focus on your scale/tape readings. Different body types give different response to weight loss. -
Have long term and short term goals..!
Short term goals are set goals achievable within a short period of time. It could be a week, 2 months etc. E.g. To Lose 1kg a week. While your long term goals may include body sculpt targets like abs molding and bicep/ triceps toning, butt lifting, for like a period of a year or more.
Remember you are human. Stay positive. Be happy
Take a day out to rest from workouts, do yoga or involve in something that makes you happy in other to revamp your system and keep you in a happy place. Smile always. And show your body much love (both physically and mentally) Appreciate and love the body you have now while working on a healthier, trimmer YOU.
